Showing hidden files on your Mac

Sure, you can run terminal commands and such to show those annoying hidden files that you might want to delete, but I also found a cool dashboard widget that will do the same thing with a simple click of a button. Try it out, it works pretty well.

Adobe Photoshop for the iPhone - Free!

Nice! This app is better than any other free photo editing app for the iPhone that I've found out there. It allows you to do quite a bit of tonal correction and effects, and creates a very nice result.

At the welcome screen, you can choose to take a photo, or select one from your existing library.

After loading your photo, you're presented with a simple screen which gives you a few options, cancel, undo, redo, or save at the bottom, and in the top the options are crop, image enhancements like saturation & brightness, photo effects like sketch and soft focus, and color gradients and effects (black and white, color gradients, etc).

All in all, a very nice app and one that I'm looking forward to trying out when I'm doing mobile photography!

The cold north

Massachusetts certainly reminds me of what Pennsylvania felt like in the fall when I lived there. I'd forgotten how chilly October up north can be compared to North Carolina. Lows are supposed to go near the 30s tomorrow I believe. Brr.

We had an awesome pilot on our Delta flight up. He stopped and talked to me at the gate before we boarded because he saw my MacBook Pro and was also a mac user and a big fan of Apple products. Very friendly and did an awesome job. When we arrived in Boston he said goodbye to us going off the plane and remembered Anna's name. So Capt. Emanuel, wherever you are tonight, thanks for making our flight enjoyable and being a good credit to Delta's pilots. Here he is after helping people off the plane on arrival, checking everything out.

Beach camping...

Overdue, but I finally got around to assembling the video from our family vacation at the beach. Enjoy!

Open Tabs

I just realized today that these tabs are almost always open in my browser.

Now, this doesn't mean that I am always on any one of these sites .. I just always have them open for quick reference. For instance, it always look like I'm on FB chat, because I always have a tab open somewhere in my browser, yet I actually hardly ever chat there.
